Winter season in Pakistan is as beautiful as our dreams that moves rhythmically to music in our imagination. It starts from mid of November and ends in the month of February. It is a completely dry season, short and mild for Pakistani’s, where the rainfall is lower in comparison to other countries across the globe. As far as the Northern part is concerned, it is as cold as death. The rest of Pakistan is said to enjoy a rewarding gift in shape of continuous transformation of nature, i.e. from comfortable and pleasantly warm sunlight during day time to cozy nights. Winters in Pakistan offers a beautiful view to capture, especially the clear sky and sun bright and bracing, thereby making it a perfect tourist spot. This year, people from all over Pakistan are travelling to cool areas in order to experience the beautiful snowflakes in the province of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This winter season- as you leave your houses and as the temperature goes down, you are suggested to follow some important yet healthy tips;

Ø  Keep yourself hydrated

Knowing the fact that the thirst in winters decreases, it is suggested to drink at least 8 glasses of water in a day. A majority of people choose to consume tea, coffee, hot chocolates and other similar beverages, but these cannot be an alternate for water. Keeping yourself hydrated helps you in reducing the possibility of illness by flushing out all the toxins from the body, maintaining the body weight as well as the glow on the skin as the water also plays a role of a natural skin moisturizer.

Ø  Wear your skin moisturizer all day and night

Despite the fact that winter is beautiful, it brings a lot of dryness that may lead to various skin problems. This is why, keeping skin moisturized all day long is a crucial tip to follow. Utilization of natural products (i.e. containing less harsh chemicals) such as mineral oil or petroleum jelly can help maintain healthy skin.

Ø  Regular hair oiling

The dryness of the season also covers the hair, thereby causing dandruff that further becomes the major reason behind hair fall or thinning of hair. For carrying healthy hair, regular hair oiling with hot oil can prove to be fruitful. Besides preventing dandruff and roughness, the daily hair massage relaxes one from all the day stress and anxiety.

During winter, numerous Pakistani’s crave for comfort foods like cookies, hot chocolates and other similar. It is suggested to eat food that is healthy and does not make one grow body fats. Some healthy winter warming foods include; warm milk, oatmeal, vegetable and chicken soup, etc.

Ø  Dress appropriately

In the season of winter, there are higher chances of getting ill or getting frostbitten. This is why, it is suggested to people of all age groups to wrap themselves with warm clothes, get heads covered with hats, hands covered with gloves and feet with socks.

Ø  Outdoor exercising

Winters in Pakistan makes it really difficult for one to jog or walk that may destroy the fitness. In order to stay fit and healthy, one must look for some outdoor sports or join a club that allows outdoor exercise especially in sunlight. Sports such as ice skating are wonderful and helps one in boosting the immunity, thereby protecting the body from causing illness.
